Who I Am As an Educator
I was the president of the Collegiate Middle Level Association, or CMLA, at UTA. They are a group of aspiring middle level educators focused on outreach and professional development.
I am a committed educator. Meaningful teaching incorporates diverse techniques of learning in order to accommodate diverse learners. Students need to be provided with attentive and understanding instructors to properly receive the learning tools essential for success in and out of the classroom.
I also know learning is fostered best in a welcome climate. As a team sports player and a team employee in my professional career, I know how well working togethere builds that climate. Just as students learn bests when they are interacting with peers, working together professionally will help our staff meet our students' needs.
I did my student teaching at Nichols Junior high and Larson Elementary in Arlington, Texas.
